It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Joylanders Academy website.Having just recently celebrated 12 years of existence, these are exciting times at the Academy and I hope the website gives an opportunity to our valued visitors around the world to get an insight into what makes us the school of choice in this region.
We pride ourselves in perennially producing the top students in Kenya, Africa and the World in International examinations. Moreover, we feature brilliantly in sports, the Arts and other co and extracurricular activities. We are able to achieve this with the help of our world-class team of top notch Educators, who are the driving force behind our success. Joylanders School is focused on each student's future success. We expect our students to excel in academics and extracurricular activities. As we prepare for KNEC tests, we not only strive to earn top ratings, but we also are preparing our students to be able to pursue the vocation of their choice.
As we work with our students in extracurricular activities we teach them the value of hard work and dedication, as well as what it means to compete and perform with class. Our schools are welcoming and our staff is willing to do whatever it takes to make our students successful.
We want our student's parents to become active participants in their children's education, working with the faculty in the best interest of the student.
DAY CARE
Our main goal at Premier Kindergarten is to develop active learners who create and think critically through the day to day interaction with adults and other children in play, classroom learning, and exploration.

All parents are welcomed for a guided tour through to our purpose built facility that has been carefully planned and resourced to cater to different personalities, talents, cultures, and family backgrounds.
DAY CARE provides a holistic education for children aged 2 ½ to 5 ½ years, with the provision of a wide range of learning experiences through well planned and prepared indoor and outdoor environments.
Our individualized and child-centered approaches to teaching ensure that our children develop a positive self-concept which in turn gives them confidence and allows an open-minded approach to learning, which ultimately will create independent self –driven lifelong learners who will contribute positively to the global community.

Our typical playgroup classroom environments offer a rich variety of play material. Although the classrooms often appear informal, they are a result of careful planning and structuring. Our teachers encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Children spend the majority of their day involved in a variety of activities including art, block building, dramatic play, sorting and matching games, gardening and sensory activities, water/sand and large motor play.
ECDE SCHOOL
Nestling between the Primary , and , secondary school, kindergarten education level is not easy and if the Foundation is not laid properly, the child finds it hard to adopt and succeed in her/his education. At our kindergarten the children learn in a friendly environment that nurtures their talents and potential. Our aim is to give them the opportunities they need to progress in confidence and become engaging and ingenious young people.
The children love coming to school and are very proud of their achievements. At the heart of our success, is a team of dedicated, friendly and highly competent staff, all contributing to our distinctive child-friendly atmosphere. Only by paying us a visit will you fully appreciate our vibrant school life and what we have to offer.
PRIMARY SCHOOL
The primary section caters for boys and girls, aged between 5½-l0½ years of age.

Teachers are responsible for the children’s welfare and delivery of the curriculum. Work is planned by teachers who draw on their expertise, knowledge, and experience to ensure work is relevant and suited to the needs of the children. The emphasis is on developing skills and teaching them how to improve their own learning while at the same time living harmoniously with others.

We believe extra-curricular activities play a very important role in the all-round development of young people. We, therefore, offer a variety of activities for our students to join and enjoy during the school day and after school.

There is an expectation of high standards of personal behavior and respect for others which we expect parents to encourage and support. Our expectations are clearly outlined in our Discipline and Homework policies.
